Should you not be able to attend then yes you can request to defer your race ticket over to another DRS event. You’ll also be able to transfer your ticket over to someone else so long as you do it within a week of the event then that’s fine.
Races start at 10am. The 30k (Dirty 30) will start 9:30am sharp. Try to get there 45-60 minutes before to allow for registration and traffic etc.
13 year olds can run so long as they are accompanied by an adult/parent/guardian at all times throughout the race
We arrange OCR Skills workshops throughout the year so that you can brush up on your obstacle technique before those big race days! We also offer online personal training if you need to lose weight & get fitter! Check our Facebook page for updates
You will receive your event details immediately upon your ticket purchase via email. We will also resend the details in another email a week before the event to remind you.
Not a bag drop, we have a key drop so you’ll be able to leave your key with us when you’re out racing and pick it up again when you’re finished. Our car parks are usually right next to registration so it’s not a long walk at all
You don’t have to go home mucky! There are water hose pipes available at the finish line to wash you down! We also have on-site loos available for those pre-race nerves!
You don’t have to be ‘super fit’ or an elite runner to do a DRS event, you’ll be able to go at your own pace so running, jogging or walking is fine, you’ll also be spurred on by our amazing Marshall’s throughout the race too!
Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Try to avoid cotton if you can. All our race routes are of extreme terrain so OCR trail shoes are a must to help you grip in the mud
You are going to be wet, muddy & “hangry” when you finish so try to get changed into some dry clothes as soon as possible. We have water hose pipes available at the finish line you can use to wash off any mud! Then grab some refreshments in our event village right away. The sooner you change into dry clothes the sooner you’ll start warming up
A few of the ponds out on course may require a 10-20m swim but don’t worry, if you’re not a confident swimmer our awesome Marshalls will have some noodles & floats you can use to help you across.
If you decide to not do the swim crossings out on course then no problem there will be a short running penalty loop to do which will take slightly longer to complete than the swim crossings.
Not a cut off time as such no, you just need to have completed the 3 laps by 3-30pm latest.
The 30kers will go off at 9:30am so you’ll have good 6 hours to complete the course.
What we usually say is check the time after lap 2. If you think you won’t get it done by 3-30 then don’t go out again on a third lap.
If you do decide halfway through to change to 1 or 2 laps then that’s fine,
you won’t be in the 10k results as that’s a separate race & distance but YES 100% - you will STILL get a finishers medal for being awesome!
